Give the Gift of
St. Dorothy's Rest

No matter how you are connected to St. Dorothy’s, we invite you to strengthen your ties to this transformative place by making the experience of camp and retreat possible for someone else. We refer to you, our supporters, as “saints” because, quite simply, you are. You recognize the important mission of this beautiful place: to serve children from all walks of life, to serve kids with cancer and organ transplants, to serve adults on their spiritual journeys, and to foster a meaningful place of work for many people.

Your support opens windows and doors into a new world for many kids by making available activities such as canoeing, backpacking, and arts and crafts, swimming, hiking from the redwoods to the ocean, campfire, singing, chapel and more. It also helps to fund the incredible teenage & young adult staff who come to St. Dot’s each summer; by leading transformative experiences for campers, they too are transformed. What Your Giving Supports

1

St. Dorothy's Rest partners with local children's hospitals to provide summer camps for children with cancer and organ transplants. We also provide an adult alumni retreat weekend. These are provided free of charge to families because of our generous donors. Click here to learn more about Hospital Camp.

The Campership Fund

St. Dorothy's policy is never to turn a child away because of an inability to pay for camp. You are investing in the life of a child when you donate to camperships.

Every year we grant over $40,000 in assistance to families who otherwise could not afford to attend St. Dorothy’s.

Ongoing Operations

St. Dorothy's Rest has a staff of 3 full-time employees &  support staff who work to create a space where guests and campers alike feel welcomed and cared for during their visits. We are stewards of 7 retreat spaces and over 380 acres of redwood forest.

There is a never-ending to-do list of repairs and renovations. Your support ensures the maintenance of safe facilities and equipment.  It also allows us to further our outreach so we may serve more people in need of the restful space that St Dorothy's provides.
